SUNDAY SCHOOL
Students are invited and encouraged to participate in our Sunday School
classes each and every Sunday. Before you can know what you truly
believe, you need all the information you can get! In order to have a
strong and solid foundation, you need a cornerstone. Come join us next
week!
The Youth of St. Paul's United Methodist Church gather together each
Sunday during the school year to share in a time of Fellowship. We're
not exactly sure why they call it United Methodist Youth Fellowship or
U.M.Y.F. but we’re sure the answer must be right in front of us. Look
for more information in the fall.
A midweek ministry for children, youth and families. CROSSWALK meets on
Wednesdays from 5:00pm through 8:00pm two semesters (September through
November and January through March) each year.
BIBLE STUDY
Who knows what the next study will be?! We know that if our youth are up
to the challenge they will encounter God in a variety of new and exciting
ways.
MYSTERY RETREATS
What is a mystery retreat? Well, nobody really knows… except Jon.
(insert villainous laugh here!) Parents are informed of where their
students are headed after they leave. You can rest assured the trip
will be God-filled and inspiring for our teenagers! More information
available soon. Wait… maybe not?
YOUTH OUTREACH / MISSION
Opportunities throughout the year allow our youth to reach out to those
in need. In the past we have joined with the Storehouse, KAIROS prison
ministry and some neighboring U.M.C. churches (for “Feed the Need”) in
order to fulfill the commandment of caring for those less fortunate than
ourselves.
CONFERENCE RETREATS
Our youth join Conference and District Youth for various retreats
throughout the year. Our Senior High Youth have the opportunity to
attend our Conference Camp (C.C.Y.M.) in November and February while
our Mid-High can have a similar experience at R.O.C. (Rhythm of Christ)
in March.
CONFERENCE CAMPS
There are camping opportunities for all ages. During the summer there
is a week long camp for Mid-High youth and a week long camp for Sr. High
youth. Most of our camps and retreats are at the Sacramento Methodist
Assembly a beautiful rustic camp in the mountains of southern New Mexico.
CONFIRMATION
Each year youth between the ages of 12 and 18 who have not been
confirmed are invited to a time of learning, relationship building and
spiritual development. Confirmation ends with celebrating their Baptism
or Reaffirmation of their Baptism, Profession of Faith and entry into
full membership of the church.
